Mistulang dumpsite na ang social media ngayon dahil walang pananagutan at tago ang identidad ng ilan sa mga vlogger at content creator na nasa likod nito.

Ito ang naging sagot ni senatorial candidate na si Ben BITAG Tulfo sa isang exclusive TV interview sa CLTV36, kamakailan.

Ayon kay Ben BITAG Tulfo, mga content creator at vlogger ang kadalasang nasa likod ng fake news.

“Now, the problem is with the 5th estate, they are free to do what they want because the accountability (is only) by themselves and for themselves… May mga digital platform naman na pagmamay-ari ng 4th estate na naka attach sa isang network but what about those vloggers after content kung ano-anu na pinagsasabi… they are not under the structure na may mga check and balance, may legal ka (dapat) dyan,” saad ng tumatakbong senador.

“The 4th estate, these are the print, radio, TV. Kapag sinabing the 4th estate, you have an accountability working under the franchise of a network, a publication or broadcast na licensed  ka, which means you follow the ethics, you follow the laws of journalism and you put sacredness or the canon of journalism,” dagdag pa nito.

Nilinaw naman ni Ben BITAG Tulfo na mayroong mga responsibleng vlogger at content creator na dapat tangkilikin at sundan sa digital media.

“May mga vloggers na magagaling, mga abugado, doktor, cook, housewife pero yung maiingay dito yung ibang vloggers and sometimes they are behind bordering fake news and they attack left and right. Ito yung mainit na discussion sa Kongreso ngayon as to yung mga nasa social media,” paliwanag ng senatorial candidate.
